I nearly forgot to read Nerdy today, which would have been a shame. This post is what is best about this blog, those magic moments when real connections are made, those “sparks” which are struck. Now I have another one to put on my TBR pile. This is also the second time today I have encountered the “round the corners” phrase relative to non-fiction. Lee Gutkind also mentions it in his latest book on writing, You Can’t Make This Stuff Up which he subtitles “The complete guide to writing creative nonfiction from memoir to literary journalism and everything in between.”

We are considering Endangered for the VA Readers’ Choice list for 2014. I loved it. Thank you for the validation and information about the author. Hi Carol, I WILL! There’s the third companion book–MY GRANDMA ALWAYS REMEMBERS–next fall and then my first nonfiction–a PB biography of elephant researcher Cynthia Moss in 2015. My mind wants to stay in East Africa.
