Nerdy Bookcast Season 1 by Colby Sharp

Last night my daughter and I were reading Raina Telgemeier’s Smile when came to the part in the memoir where Raina begins develop a crush on the character Sean. Reading about crushes with my daughter made me think about a couple of things.

1. I want her to stay young forever. Boys make me nervous.

2. It also make me think of the Nerd Talk Raina gave last summer about the real life Sean.

We shared Raina’s Nerd Talk in an epsidoe of the Nerdy Bookcast. Having the opportunity share amazing stories about reading and books is one of my favorite things about Nerdy Book Club and the Nerdy Bookcast. Each and every book loving Nerd that I’ve met over the years seems to have an inspiring story centered around a book that they love.

I’m excited to share the final episode of the first season of The Nerdy Bookcast. I’m thankful that Donalyn Miller and Kevin Carlson agreed to go on this journey with me. We’ve learned a lot in Season 1, and we can’t wait to come back in the spring with Season 2.

In this final episode of Season 1 Kevin Carlson and I discuss what went well and what we need to work on, Ann King DiBella shares her Nerdy Book Club post about getting married in an independent book shop, and Donalyn Miller shares three book talks.
